I would best describe my coaching style as encouraging, but honest. My plan with coaching any player, or team, regardless of the age group is to understand what a player's goals are, to provide an honest assessment of where they can improve their fundamentals or athletic abilities, then provide the player with the necessary instruction, encouragement, and direction for the player to move forward toward their goals.
My favorite all time n.b.a. player was Chris Mullin as I was growing up. He was able to over come a lot of struggles in his personal life, and eventually become a NBA hall of famer. I was always inspired by his relative lack of size, and athletic ability, but seemed to still succeed almost solely based on an unbelievable work ethic, and dedication to his fundamentals.
I grew up in a very small town in Southern Illinois, and have 1 sister. My home town had zero traffic lights, 1 town restaurant, and our high school was only 190 total kids.
